Organization

The third edition of the Congress is organized by the European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations, alongside the Comissão das Solenidades Quaresmais de Ovar and the Comissão de Semana Santa de Santa Maria da Feira. The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations was created in 2019 and is an organization dedicated to promoting the traditions associated with Holy Week and Easter, thus safeguarding their rich heritage. Its main objective is to contribute to a better understanding of the values of this extensive legacy, which is alive in many parts of Europe. This legacy combines remarkable local differences with its broad social cohesion as a common element in many regions.
